Chul Seoung Kim is a photographer and visual director whose work spans fashion, food, travel, and cultural documentation.
Kim is widely recognized for The Moment, his long-term project on the backstage world of fashion shows, but his portfolio extends far beyond the runway. His La Dolce Vita series reflects years of travel in Italy, from the quiet streets of the north to the glow of Mediterranean summers. In food photography, his collections Harvest and Indulgence explore ingredients, dishes, and the artistry of dining. He has also contributed to cultural archives on Korean cuisine and collaborated with brands, magazines, and theater productions.
Over the course of his career, Kim has worked on diverse projects, from digital archiving for the World Kimchi Institute to documentary work on traditional Korean markets. His commercial photography includes collaborations with Kia Tigers, NCSoft (Lineage), Blizzard Entertainment (StarCraft), and numerous campaigns for Amorepacific, EXR, and other leading brands. He has also created visuals for the musical Chicago, taught photography design at Gachon University, and previously worked in advertising and marketing at Haitai Electronics. Today, he serves as photo director for Hanok and Hanbok magazines and as a contributing photojournalist for Bar & Dining.
